After viewing Citizen Kane, a friend asked Orson Welles how anyone could know Kane’s last words when he died alone.

Reportedly Welles stared for a long time and said, “Don’t you ever tell anyone of this.”

i watched this movie for the first time last week.  i was literally speechless after it ended.  i could not formulate words to describe what i had just watched and how i was feeling.  maybe i was so impressed all i wanted to do was clap.  or maybe i thought rosebud was really the blonde, therefore completely confused and lost.
